Special Thanks to Ortega Equestrian Center...

We often get support from members of the equestrian community for which we are always thankful.  One such member who has been a special angel to Bethany's Gait is Kathy Holman and Ortega Equestrian Center.  Besides donating two wonderful horses to our program, Kathy has opened the

equestrian center to us for use in working with clients who aren't able to make the drive out to our ranch.  In addition, she allows us to work with her horses so we don't have to trailer horses from the ranch.  This wonderful gift has opened our program to clients who wouldn't otherwise be able to benefit from our services.

If you aren't familiar with Ortega Equestrian Center (OEC), it is a true gem right in our backyard.  The facility is located just off the 5 freeway and Ortega Highway at 27252 Calle Arroyo, San Juan Capistrano.  Beyond offering top-notch boarding, OEC offers riding lessons/training from highly qualified trainers, guided trail rides that are very well priced and is home to a very active 4-H Club.

This summer they are also offering Horsemanship Clinics for kids ages 8 - 16.  Kids will build riding skills, character and meet new friends in a small group setting.  The program focuses on safety, riding (both arena & trail) and large animal care.  The cost is only $400 for this weeklong program and there are several dates to choose from.

For more information about the Horsemanship Clinics or other services OEC offers, call 949-661-3130

Thanks from all the kids and horses of Bethany's Gait to Kathy and Ortega Equestrian Center!!

Board Members Sought

In an effort to build on the great work of Bethany's Gait, candidates are sought for the Board of Directors.  Board members are asked to raise or donate $5,000 a year (and we help them do it), attend 10 Board meetings per year, and support at least one event.  Prior to Board service, candidates are asked to volunteer at least 10 hours in some capacity with the organization.  Contact crose@bethanysgait.org if you would like to learn more.
